I am Ebba Salvor Meehan. I was born in Iceland on a farm in the spring of 1966. I am the youngest of seven siblings. On the dairy farm my parents built, I grew up amongst the natural beauty of the Icelandic landscapes. I came to know nature through life on the farm. Learning how to care for animals and the land had a profound impact on me. I am an avid horse lover and I have been riding since the age of 8.   I have always been close to nature.

At the age of 17, I moved away from the farm for my education. In Reykjavik, the capital of Iceland, I received my BA degree in arts and graphic design in 1992. After running my own design studio for 6 years, I sold it and worked as an art director for a large advertising agency. I became a student of yoga to counteract the hustle and bustle of city life and career. There was a need for relaxation and a need to find a peaceful place within myself. Soon after my introduction, yoga became my life's passion.

In 1996 I had my daughter Erla Sol and then in 2002 I met my husband Neil. After working in the commercial world for 15 years it was time for me to refocus.

Yoga has always been a part of my life since the first class I took. Because of this, I have experience with several different types of yoga. I have practiced faithfully since 1993.

My husband is from the US and before I knew it, I moved with my daughter to Boston. I attended one of the most prestigious yoga schools in the world, Kripalu Center of Yoga and Health. The intensive program at Kripalu reaffirmed my appreciation of the fine art of teaching yoga. In my experience the Kripalu philosophy and style embodies the essence of the yoga form, always combined with love, safety and acceptance. Now I offer Kripalu yoga classes for groups and privately at my studio in Boxford, MA. It is my hope that all those with open hearts and minds will try a class. You may just feel better or you may discover a new lifestyle. For me it is like this; the deeper you practice the more you benefit.

May you be happy and healthy.
